Description
Released in 2012, Waimea™ is a dual purpose New Zealand hop bred for its relatively high alpha acid levels and good bittering properties. It is descended from California Cluster Hops, as well as Fuggle and Saaz. Despite its strong bittering qualities, Waimea™ also features some desirable aromas and flavours of sweet citrus Mandarin and resiney pine, making it particularly well suited to IPAs and Lagers.
