Description
Château Café is a Belgian coffee malt, lightly kilned and roasted at 220°C. This malt brings a nutty and distinctly 'coffee' flavour and aroma to beers, and is well suited to stouts and porters. Its strong colour is very useful in darker ales, where it will also offer a smooth mouth feel as well as bringing an interesting level of complex, nuanced flavour.
Use: Stouts, porters, Scottish ale, dark Belgian style beers, can be used in low rates in brown ales to bring hints of fresh roasted coffee.
Rate: Up to 10%.
